Automated logistics services 1.2

Stad med nätverk av uppkoppling ovanpå

CLOSER / Lindholmen Science Park carries out a project within Sweden Drive about Automated logistics services (´Autolog´). Chalmers competence center SAFER operates a study within DriveSweden named SEVS AD (Autonomous Driving) where sustainability impacts for autonomous vehicles and transport solutions for personal mobility is being analyzed. The idea is now to, within Autolog, extend the SEVS-study to explore the link between mobility of people and freight connected to e-commerce where both transport efficiency and traffic safety is affected. Structure, plan and description of three use cases are proposed, as a suggestion robotic delivery of goods, delivery to passenger loading areas and offices and shared use (like uber) of passenger transportation. Planning of reality laboratories is suggested (which underlines the importance of cooperation within the Autolog project since such laboratories are under construction in Autolog). A framework for analyzing this type of issues, possibly including a simulation system, is proposed.

Project period
December 2016 - April 2017
